Initially all students test into the rank of provisional (sometimes called "probationary" black belt after red, whether adult or child. This is a temporary certification while one earns the 1st degree certification in black.
After provisional black belt, 1st through 10th degree Black Belt may be marked by stripes for each degree or some students may prefer not to mark the belt at all.

The following belts are optional belts in our system. Some are used to denote position and some are used to denote positions by students of philosophy.
3rd degree black
5th degree black - (Master)
* The time required to reach any belt level may be altered if the student is granted a time waiver by the certification board at their school. In certain cases, students may be allowed to skip one belt rank and advance directly to the next or having their time in rank significantly decreased. These situations generally occur when a student puts forth outstanding effort or has been at the same rank for longer periods of time due to uncontrollable circumstances.
Additional Achievements:
Leadership Team - May be awarded to oustanding individuals ranked orange belt and above, depending on individual school standards. The leadership team receives special training toward the achievement of Assistant Instructor rank.
Certified Assistant Instructor - May be awarded to individuals ranked at least blue belt. Ranks red through black are generally assistant oriented. Assistants are marked by a red armband on the left sleeve.
Instructor - The minimum rank required to instruct satellite classes under the supervision of Sijo Boxx varies depending on the person and situation. To verify the status of any individual claiming to teach our art or hold rank with us, please contact us directly.
Senior Instructor - Title awarded at 4th degree black belt. Some instructors may prefer to carry this title permanently, foregoing the "Master" title.
Master Instructor - For those who prefer to use it, this title is achieved at 5th degree black.
Sijo - Father or Founder. Only one Sijo in system. Title is passed on to inheritor in the event of death of founder.
