Chun Kuk Do is a system of martial art founded by Mr. Chuck Norris. Chun Kuk Do translates literally as "Thousand Land Way." Mr. Norris states that his way of 1,000 lands is meant to imply a "universal way."
Dr. Thomas Carter, Ph.D, President of the Missouri Fighting Arts Federation, began his martial art training while stationed in Japan with the U.S. Air Force in the 1960's. He has an impressive fifty year history in martial arts, as well as being a retired Psychologist, college Psychology instructor, poet, and author. He tested for his black belt under Mr. Chuck Norris and Mr. Tip Potter in 1977. He is a 10th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, 4th degree black belt in the Chun Kuk Do system, , and 1st degree black belt in Kodokan Judo.
Together with the help of Mr. Chad Boxx, Dr. Carter is re-establishing a Chun Kuk Do presence in the Poplar Bluff, Missouri area.
